3 Men Rob Driver Stopped In Intersection In Newark
NEWARK (CBS SF) -- A man was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men in Newark Monday evening, police said.
The victim reported to police that he stopped his vehicle near the intersection of Sycamore Street and Carter Avenue at about 6 p.m. to trouble-shoot a strange mechanical noise.
Three men accosted the victim and demanded cash. One of the men brandished a silver semi-automatic pistol.
The men fled southbound on Sycamore Street traveling in a black Lexus sedan with gold trim and emblems.
The gunman is described as a Hispanic man, about 25 years old, standing about 5 feet 11 inches and weighing about 200 pounds. His hair was slicked back. He was wearing a red t-shirt blue jeans and white shoes at the time of the mugging.
The second suspect is described as a black man, about 30 years old, standing 6 feet 1 inches and weighing about 260 pounds. The man had a fade-style haircut and goatee beard. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
The third suspect is described a black man about 25 years old with gold bottom teeth. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.
