3 Injured In Attacks At SF Western Addition Intersection
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Three men were hospitalized in two separate attacks near the same intersection in San Francisco's Western Addition neighborhood less than 24 hours apart this weekend, police said.
At 2:30 a.m. Saturday, two men were approached by two other men at the intersection of Fillmore and O'Farrell streets and an argument ensued, police said.
The argument escalated, and the victims were attacked with a baseball bat. One of the men was robbed of his cell phone and wallet, police said.
The victims, ages 23 and 24, took a taxi to St. Francis Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The suspects fled after the attack and have not been found. A detailed suspect description was not immediately available this morning, police said.
About 1:35 a.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old man was at the front door of a bar near the same intersection when a fight broke out.
The victim was stabbed twice in the stomach during the fight. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries and is expected to survive, police said.
The victim does not recall being stabbed nor who the suspects were, police said.
No arrests have been made in the case.
The two attacks are not believed to be related.
