3 Found Shot Near Solano County Fairgrounds In Vallejo
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a triple shooting in Vallejo Monday evening.
Around 8:15 p.m., the Vallejo Police Department received several 911 calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of Fairgrounds and Sereno drives.
Witnesses reported seeing three victims with gunshot wounds in front of a business located in the 500 block of Fairgrounds Drive, police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located only one victim inside the business. Witnesses reported seeing the two other victims leave the scene in vehicles. Officers located the two other victims at area hospitals.
All three victims sustained injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.
Witnesses and victims described the suspect as a black man in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police said.
The suspect was armed with a handgun, according to police.
He was last seen running away from the scene of the shooting onto Sereno Drive, police said.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
