3 Alleged Gang Members Arrested For Los Gatos Home Burglary
LOS GATOS (CBS SF) -- Three alleged gang members have been arrested in connection with a June daytime burglary of a Los Gatos home that was ransacked and robbed of valuables, police said Tuesday.
Oscar Campos, 21, Lizardo Burgara, 19, and Esteban Fuentes, 20, all of San Jose, were arrested on suspicion of burglary after Los Gatos police obtained search warrants on Oct. 21, according to police Capt. Matt Frisby.
The arrests resulted from an investigation into a vehicle allegedly used during the burglary of the home on Highland Oaks Drive on June 17, Frisby said.
Police responded to a call at 11 a.m. that day about a burglary in progress but when they arrived the suspects had already fled the scene in an unknown vehicle, Frisby said.
The suspects had ransacked the residence and stole jewelry, home electronics and firearms, Frisby said.
The investigation, which included canvassing the neighborhood, led to the three suspects, all of whom are believed to be tied to a street gang, Frisby said.
