3.0 Earthquake Shakes Contra Costa County

CONCORD (BCN) - A 3.0-magnitude earthquake rattled residents in Contra Costa County Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake was reported at 12:31 a.m. and was centered three miles northwest of Concord and four miles east-southeast of Martinez.

The temblor's depth was recorded at 9.6 miles, the USGS said.
