2 Teens Arrested After Crashing Stolen Car In San Mateo
SAN MATEO (BCN) -- Belmont police arrested two teenagers Tuesday morning after they were chased into San Mateo driving a stolen car.
The two boys, 16 and 17 years old, were spotted by an officer around 9:45 a.m. driving on El Camino Real in a white Honda Civic that had been reported as stolen, according Belmont police.
The teens reportedly evaded a traffic stop and fled north into San Mateo.
The driver lost control of the Honda and crashed into a fire hydrant and a parked car near 39th Avenue.
Neither boy was injured in the crash, according to police, and both attempted to run away before being taken into custody.
