2 Shot At Vallejo Indoor Party Facility
VALLEJO (AP) - The owner of a Vallejo business billed as "the indoor play and party zone" for children could face a citation after an 18th birthday party booked at the center got out of hand.
Police tell the Vallejo Times Herald that a 19-year-old Oakland man and a 23-year-old Pittsburg man are recovering after they were shot late Friday at Happy Frog, located in the 400 block of Georgia Street.
Business owner Kenya Allen tells the newspaper he was duped into thinking the event would be an innocent celebration, but later learned two people were shot after a fight.
Police say they are expected to survive. Vallejo Senior Planner Michelle Hightower says Allen could be cited if police confirm the party occurred in the basement—for which Allen had no occupancy permit.
