San Francisco Shooting Leads To Car Chase; 2 Arrested
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Two shooting suspects have been detained and a third remains at large following a vehicle pursuit from San Francisco's Mission District to U.S. Highway 101 Thursday morning, according to police.
Police received a report of a shooting near the intersection of 19th and Mission streets shortly after 2 a.m.
One victim with a gunshot wound was transported to San Francisco General Hospital and is in stable condition Thursday morning, police said.
San Francisco police and the California Highway Patrol pursed the suspect vehicle, occupied by three suspects, traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 101, according to police.
About 10 minutes after the shooting occurred, the speeding suspect vehicle crashed near the Candlestick Park exit off of U.S. Highway 101, police said.
Police detained a man and woman. The third suspect escaped the vehicle following the collision.
Police and the CHP set up a perimeter and were searching the area for the third suspect.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic or black male wearing all dark clothing.
