2 People Gunned Down In CVS Parking Lot In Livermore

LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- One man in his 20s died and another man in his 20s was injured Saturday night when someone shot at the pair in a Livermore parking lot.

Police received multiple 911 calls at 6:05 p.m. regarding the shooting in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy store at 1500 First St., according to police.

Upon arrival, officers found two people inside a parked car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger, who is in his 20s, was taken to a hospital, according to police.

Police are withholding the identity of the deceased man, pending notification of his next of kin. Detectives have confirmed that neither of the victims are Livermore residents, police said.

Officers said two male suspects were seen driving a black 2006 BMW 325i with two red racing stripes on the hood with the license plate number 5PLR682, according to police.

Officers described the suspect driver as a thin and tall black male, wearing a gray beanie, police said. He is armed with a long black gun, according to police.

UPDATE: On Sunday morning, Livermore police released the name and a photo of one of the suspects, identified as Jason Alexander Brown, who is considered armed and dangerous.

The suspects were seen driving out of the parking lot onto Railroad Avenue and California Highway Patrol officers last saw the vehicle in Oakland, police said.
