2 People Fatally Shot In Oakland During One-Hour Span
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Oakland police are responding to two fatal shootings and a non-fatal officer-involved shooting Friday evening, according to a spokeswoman.
One homicide occurred on the 1000 block of 102nd Avenue at 6:25 p.m., and another on the 1600 block of Eleventh Street at 7:20 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Johnna Watson.
A suspect is in custody in the 102nd Avenue shooting. Watson said police do have information on a suspect vehicle connected with the 11th Street shooting but are not yet releasing that information.
The officer-involved shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Seventh and Clay Streets. There are no reported suspect or officer injuries, however, and a suspect is in custody, according to police spokeswoman Johnna Watson.
The area is blocked due to the investigation.
