2 Men Shot, Wounded In Oakland Gunfire
OAKLAND (CBS 5) -- Two men were shot and wounded in a hail of gunfire in Oakland on Wednesday afternoon.
The shootings occured around 3 p.m. on 79th Avenue between Garfield and Bancroft streets.
One victim was shot in the chest, but authorities described the injuries as non-life-threatening and said the man was hospitalized in stable condition.
The second victim was struck in the leg. He was being interviewed by police while receiving treatment.
No description of the shooter was immediately available from police.
Gunfire also erupted a short time later along International Avenue, but authorities said no one was hit.
