2 Men Shot In Union City; 3 Suspects Sought

UNION CITY (BCN) - Two men were shot in Union City on Tuesday evening, and police are searching for three suspects in the case.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 2501 Medallion Drive at about 6 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound across the street from the Parkway Green Apartments.

The victim had been shot at least once, and police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Ten minutes later, California Highway Patrol officers informed police that they had picked up a gunshot victim from a Target parking lot roughly a mile away from the apartment complex.

The second victim was being driven to a hospital by a friend when they requested help from the CHP, police said.

Both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. Police did not have information about their conditions.

The suspects, described only as three black men in their 20s, fled after the shooting and had not been apprehended as of 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
