2 Hurt In Bay Point Shooting
BAY POINT (CBS SF) -- Two people were injured in a shooting in Bay Point on Saturday night, a Contra Costa County sheriff's lieutenant said Sunday.
Deputies responded at 9:46 p.m. to multiple reports of a shooting in the unit block of Inlet Drive, Lt. Ian Hebert said.
Callers reported that the victims had already been transported to the hospital, and deputies were able to speak to them at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, Hebert said.
The two males were each shot in the leg and suffered injuries not considered life threatening. Hebert said he did not have information on the victims' ages.
Deputies found shell casings and blood on the street at Inlet Drive, Hebert said.
He said it was too early in the investigation to provide information about possible suspects or a motive for the shooting, but he said deputies were investigating the incident.
