2 Arrests In Mob Beating Of Redwood City Caltrain Passenger
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) -- Caltrain officials say two men have been arrested in connection with the beating and robbery of a man on a train platform in Redwood City.
Spokeswoman Christine Dunn told The San Francisco Chronicle that 19-year-old Damar Desean Walker and 18-year-old Nicholas Furman have been booked on suspicion of robbery and assault.
The two Redwood City man are believed to be part of a group of up to 15 people who attacked and severely beat a 47-year-old San Jose man on the platform on March 4.
Dunn says the victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. His name has not been released.
It's not known if the two suspects had retained attorneys
