2 Arrested In Hillsborough Home Burglary
HILLSBOROUGH (CBS SF) - Police arrested a man and woman suspected of burglary and parole violations in Hillsborough on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a home in the 500 block of Pullman Road shortly after 10 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from the homeowner reporting a suspicious woman knocking on the door and a suspicious man in her backyard, police said.
Police said the male suspect broke into the home through the rear sliding door and ran away through the backyard when confronted by the homeowner.
Suspect descriptions were sent out to responding officers and police stopped a 2011 Mazda 6 with two occupants matching the suspect descriptions, police said.
Police arrested Maurice Hayes, 26, and Janey Jackson, 23, both of Oakland on suspicion of residential burglary, conspiracy and parole violations.
Hayes and Jackson were booked into San Mateo County Jail.
Police were investigating to see if the suspects may be related to additional crimes in the area. Anyone with information regarding the case was asked to call police at (650) 375-7470.
