2-Alarm Fire Rips Through San Ramon Apartment Building
SAN RAMON (CBS SF) - A two-alarm fire at an apartment building in San Ramon caused injuries to at least one person Friday afternoon, according to fire officials.
The fire was reported shortly after 1 p.m. in a multi-unit apartment building on Countrybrook Loop, said San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Kim French.
At least one unit was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived. French did not know whether other units were affected.
At least one ambulance transported a resident from the scene, but French did not have information on the number of people injured or the severity of the injuries.
The fire was considered under control as of 2:15 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, French said.
