2.9 Magnitude Quake Strikes Near Saratoga, Cupertino
SARATOGA (CBS SF) -- A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck an area near Saratoga and Cupertino in Santa Clara County Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor occurred at 4:16 p.m. about 7 miles west of Saratoga and 7 miles west-southwest of Cupertino.
The earthquake had a depth of about 7.1 miles, according to the USGS.
