2.9 Earthquake Hits Near San Francisco Zoo
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck near the San Francisco Zoo early Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 12:19 a.m. quake shook 2 miles southwest of the zoo, which is located near the Great Highway and Sloat Boulevard.
The temblor had a depth of about 4 miles, according to the USGS.
