2.7 Magnitude Quake Hits San Leandro Area
SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck an area near San Leandro early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 3:38 a.m. about 1 mile north of San Leandro and 4 miles west of Castro Valley.
The temblor had a depth of about 2.7 miles and could be felt as far away as Oakland and Alameda, according to the USGS.
