$17 Million Deal For Naming Rights To Cal Memorial Stadium Paid Entirely In Cryptocurrency

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- The Cal Bears will make history when the season kicks off on September 4 in the newly renamed FTX Field at the California Memorial Stadium.

FTX, an offshore cryptocurrency trading exchange cryptocurrency based in Hong Kong, paid $17 million to ink the deal.

It is the first such deal for naming rights in collegiate history paid entirely in cryptocurrency.
