1000s Without Power In 2 Bay Area Cities
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- PG&E crews were working to restore power to thousands of customers in two different Bay Area cities Saturday afternoon, a utility spokeswoman said.
In Oakland, 3,566 lost power at 12:10 p.m. There is no estimated time when power will be restored, spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
The cause of the outage, which is affecting customers in the area bounded by Moraga Avenue, Broadway Terrace, Clarewood Drive and state Highway 13, has not been determined, Morris said.
Further south in Soledad, 1,315 customers are without power. That outage began at 12:05, Morris said.
According to the spokeswoman there is no known cause or restoration time for the outage.
