100 Pounds Of Marijuana Found Growing In Milpitas Home's Backyard
MILPITAS (CBS SF) -- Milpitas police recovered about 100 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $250,000 from a backyard of a home in a quiet Milpitas neighborhood, police reported Wednesday.
Three people were arrested in connection with the grow operation, which was discovered earlier this month, on Oct. 7, after police received reports that the marijuana might exist in the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of Olympic Drive, according to police.
Milpitas residents Ho Van Lam, 50, Thu Le Tu, 56, and Jennifer Hong Lam, 26, were all arrested at the scene without incident. Each was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales and sales of marijuana, police reported.
Officers allegedly found $70,000 cash inside the house, according to police.
