1 Killed, 3 Injured In Separate Oakland Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One man was killed and three others injured in four separate shootings on Saturday night in Oakland.
Police responded to the first shooting at 9:16 p.m. in the 800 block of 53rd Street, Officer J. Moore said.
Officers located a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspect information is available in connection with the killing, Moore said.
About 30 minutes later, gunfire struck another man in the 3400 block of Davis Street, Moore said.
That victim was taken in stable condition to a hospital.
Police described the suspect in that shooting only as a single armed person who has not been arrested.
Around 11 p.m., a man was shot near the intersection of 96th Avenue and Birch Street, Officer J. Moore said.
The man went to a local hospital in stable condition, and no suspects were located in connection with the shooting.
At about the same time, another person was wounded in a shooting in the 8300 block of Bancroft Avenue, Moore said.
That victim also went to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Moore said two armed suspects were apparently involved in that shooting, but none has been arrested.
