1 Arrested In Rohnert Park DUI Hit-And-Run

ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) -- A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of drunken driving after he allegedly hit a residence and then drove away, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

Ajay Butler-Jones, 22, hit a house on the 500 block of Ava Ave., causing extensive damage to the front of his car, officials said.

Nearby officers spotted Butler-Jones and followed him. Officers reported that he was unable to stay in his lane, almost struck two parked cars and ran a stop sign, according to a police.

After pulling him over, officers smelled alcohol and arrested Butler-Jones on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, according to police.

Butler-Jones and the home's occupants were uninjured after the crash, police said.
