UC Berkeley snow lab has new ways to measure California snowpack
The size of California's snowpack determines the water flow into the state's rivers, streams and reservoirs in the spring and the water available for agriculture and homes. Predicting runoff is uncertain, which is why new tools for more accuracy is critical.
