There is a new push to improve pedestrian safety around schools. New federal funding will make it safer for kids to walk to class in Sacramento. Oak Ridge Elementary is one of nine schools to get the $2.2 million investment The money will be used to add bike lanes, more visible crosswalks, and curb ramps.
