When the 49ers and Seahawks square off Thursday it could mean the end of one of the two's playoff chances. While neither will be technically eliminated, the loser will essentially need to win out, which is a tough task when considering the two teams remaining schedules.
The 4-7 St. Louis Rams may seem to be weak at first glance, but as coached by long-time NFL man Jeff Fisher, the team once referred to as the "Lambs" is anything but right now. Remember, St. Louis has wins over Denver, San Francisco and Seattle this year—and they almost beat San Diego last weekend with a third-string quarterback. They're still good.
The 0-10 Oakland Raiders have six games remaining, and if they want to avoid the wrong kind of historic effort, the Silver & Black need to win at least one of those games. But it's not looking like that is going to happen, all things considered. Somewhere, the ghost of Al Davis is cringing and shaking his fist at the mess his once-proud team has become.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been playing pretty well lately, as evidenced by their win over the Seattle Seahawks last weekend. Now, they get to the play the first of two games remaining on their schedule against the hapless Oakland Raiders, and if the Silver & Black want to win their first game in more than a year, they'll need to be at their "best"—whatever that is.
The Oakland Raiders fell to 0-10 this season with their 16th consecutive loss overall, dating back to 2013. The 13-6 loss to the San Diego Chargers on the road was a closely fought contest, with the Silver & Black having one last chance—late in the fourth quarter—to tie it up. But it was not to be.

The San Diego Chargers have lost three straight games, the last two by whopping margins. Does this mean the winless Oakland Raiders have a chance to beat them? The Silver & Black came close in the teams' first matchup in Oakland, but this Week 11 contest will be in San Diego. There are always a lot of Raiders fans in San Diego, though, so maybe this is Oakland's chance to get into the win column and avoid a 16-game losing streak.
Not much changes for the Oakland Raiders these days: They keep losing games, and they can't get healthy, either. With their talent level, the Silver & Black can ill afford to be injured. But now the last winless team in the NFL faces the high-scoring Denver Broncos at home, and the roster is banged up and bruised still.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a loss, and that means bad news for the winless Oakland Raiders. Peyton Manning loves to dissect a bad defense, and that's what he's prepping to do right now—leaving the Silver & Black on the spot for Sunday's game at the Coliseum against the defending AFC champs.
The Oakland Raiders dropped to 0-8 on the season, dropping a 30-24 decision on the road to the Seattle Seahawks. The Silver & Black had a chance with an onside kick, but they couldn't recover it. They were doomed in the first half by several mistakes that led to a 21-point deficit at halftime, and now the team must regroup—again.
Another close call. Another week where, no matter the improvement, the Oakland Raiders showed why they still remained winless.
Do the Oakland Raiders have nine bodies to spare on Halloween weekend for their game in Seattle against the defending champions? Of course not. But that's the spooky truth the Silver & Black faces as they prepare for the Seahawks this Sunday. The Raiders are winless and will need a lot of tricks and treats to capture their first victory of the season against Seattle.
Back in the calendar year of 1984, a whopping 30 years ago now, the then-Los Angeles Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks played two memorable AFC playoff games. The first in January 1984 saw the Raiders beat the Seahawks, and the second in December 1984 saw the tables turned as Seattle knocked out the defending Super Bowl champions.

The 0-7 Oakland Raiders travel to Seattle this weekend to take on the defending Super Bowl champions. And while the 4-3 Seahawks have already lost as many games as they did all of last year, they still are an opponent never to be taken lightly on their home field. Of course, the winless Silver & Black can't take any team lightly these days as they look to snap a 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.
