Rumors are flying that the San Francisco 49ers might trade Head Coach Jim Harbaugh to the Oakland Raiders, and that's just the icing on the cake for this Bay Area rivalry. The 49ers need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and the Silver & Black just need something to forget that beating they just took from the St. Louis Rams. The Sunday game at the Coliseum promises to be quite interesting.
The 2014 Oakland Raiders had nothing on the field Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, as the Silver & Black couldn't follow up their first win of the season with anything positive. The 52-0 loss in Week 13 was as bad as it gets in the modern-day NFL.
It's been more than a week since the Oakland Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, and that time has been a benefit to the walking wounded on the Silver & Black roster. But there are still some areas of concern the team must address as they head into Sunday's game at St. Louis against an underrated Rams squad. The true question is whether the Raiders can build on the victory momentum and earn another win in 2014.
Right now, the Oakland Raiders are 1-10, and if the season ended today, they'd get the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. There's not a clear-cut stud or even a lot of depth at the top of the draft next year, so the Silver & Black need to be very smart about their next draft.
