It's hard to steal all the attention during the week leading up to the Super Bowl, but Randy Moss had accomplished this feat with one statement. While it may be considered blasphemy to talk about being the greatest wide receiver in the history of the NFL, while wearing a San Francisco 49er jersey, Moss is not only entitled to his opinion, but based on his career and stats, he is not far from the truth.
Super Bowl 47 may be the final game for Ray Lewis, but the 49ers have several players who will approach the game with the same mentality. If Baltimore thinks that Ray Lewis' dramatic return to the field will allow the Ravens to play at the level that has allowed them to get this far, they had better look to the other sideline and what the 49ers are playing for. San Francisco is the hungrier team and playing for far more than their opponent.
Aldon Smith has not recorded a sack in 5 games, and after recording 19.5 through 13 games, there is of course questions as to why the 49er's single season sack king has failed to get to the quarterback as of late. An injured shoulder, and the absence of Justin Smith were a big part of it, and both of these issues have only gotten better, meaning that Aldon is primed to have another big day on Super Bowl Sunday, unless the Ravens decide to let another player beat them.

As San Francisco goes down their checklist for the Super Bowl, they are missing something. The offense is clicking, the defense continues to impress, but David Akers has put a big question mark on the kicking game. The Super Bowl is suppose to be the best two teams in the NFL battling for football supremacy as well as bragging rights. While there may be questions as to if the two best teams from each conference are playing, there is no denying the talented filling both rosters. In a game with so many Pro Bowlers on the field, it's often an unlikely hero that can help swing the outcome of the game in their team's favor. There are several players who can make a name for themselves on Super Bowl Sunday, but the player most likely to do so, is LaMichael James.
With a two week break between the Divisional Championship Round and the Super Bowl, both the 49ers and Ravens are able to heal up. Both teams have defensive stars recovering from an injury, and with an extra week to rest will only benefit, but San Francisco would have been better off playing this Sunday.
The San Francisco 49ers will be the better team when they take on the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday. Unfortunately, talent is not the only deciding factor, and the Ravens will have a few things working in their favor that could help them win it all. To make matters worse, these are things that are out of the 49ers' control, and San Francisco will have to hope that a lot of things go their way on Sunday.
For the San Francisco 49ers to complete their quest for a 6th Lombardi Trophy, they will have to beat the Baltimore Ravens. After falling one game short of the Super Bowl a year ago, the 49ers find themselves in unfamiliar territory, as the last time they were in a Super Bowl was 18 years ago. As a franchise, San Francisco is undefeated on football's biggest stage, and although this is new ground for this specific team, they have to like their chances of keeping the winning streak alive.
