A Wednesday incident near the US Capitol in which a woman crashed her car into a police cruiser and narrowly missed several officers on foot appears unrelated to terrorism, police said. "This incident appears to be criminal in nature with no nexus to terrorism, and in addition the Capitol complex remains open to the public," Capitol Police communications director Eva Malecki told reporters.
