Diwali Festival in Rancho Cordova
BAPS Hindu Temple in Rancho Cordova held a Diwali Festival Saturday, according to Outreach Volunteer Shivang Pandya. The celebration was attended by roughly 4,200 attendees throughout the day, including many elected officials. Diwali is celebrated by billions of people around the world and is regarded as a time of joy and peace, time spent with loved ones and a time of giving.

Diwali was celebrated with a Maha-Annakut, which translated, means mountain of food. A devotional offering of hundreds of sweet, sour, spicy and savory dishes all made by volunteers and people of all ages.
