Jesuit High School's Red & Gold Gala and Auction was held Saturday, March 29 on the Jacob Lane campus. The time lineup: Mass at 5 p.m., silent auction at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7:15 p.m., live auction at 8:15 p.m. and after party at 10:30 p.m. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jesuit High School, several alumni were chosen to chair the PACE (Providing a Christian Education) Auction, including John '69 and Diane Banchero, John '76 and Heidi Anderson, Kelly '82 and Augusta Brothers, Damon Szymanowski '93 and Alison Juozokas, and Kyle Khasigian '00. Featured auction items included trips to Anguilla, Punta Mita, Southern France, Costa Rica, Ka'anapali and New York; golf trips to Pebble Beach, Chicago, Bandon Dunes and more; and trips and tickets for television shows including Two and a Half Men, Dancing with the Stars, the Ellen Degeneres Show and the Big Bang Theory. In the sports category, tickets were auctioned for Giants, 49er, Sacramento Kings and River Cats games. Proceeds from the night exceeded $815,000 and support the school's operating and tuition assistance funds.
Fashion conscious women turned out in droves for the 2nd Annual Now 100.5 FM NOW That's a Dress event on March 26 at they Hyatt Regency Sacramento. They had their pick from more than 1,300 dresses donated at local Dress Barn locations. All dresses were professionally dry cleaned by Prestige Cleaners before being staged for the 90 minute shopping extravaganza. Total Beauty Experience was also on hand with beauty tips and services. All dresses were only $10 regardless of designer or style - hundreds of teens found affordable prom fashions and several ladies left with the wedding dresses of their dreams! When the dust (and silk) settled, more than $9,000 was raised for WEAVE's crisis intervention services.

The "Blue Tie Affair" to celebrated KidsFirst's 25th Anniversary at a commemorative benefit and luncheon on Thursday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Timber Creek Ballroom in Roseville, CA. "KidsFirst was founded in 1989, the same year the blue ribbon was first declared as the National Child Abuse Awareness ribbon color. Since April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. KidsFirst is a non-profit child-abuse prevention agency with three family resource centers located in Roseville, Auburn and Citrus Heights.
