THE COUNCIL Pitch First Fundraiser for Nonprofits
The Council – A local all male organization aiming to help local charities on a quarterly basis was on April 26th at House Kitchen and Bar,downtown Sacramento.
The concept: The Council is comprised of 100 men who agree to each donate $100 at four gatherings a year. At each gathering, the men will hear pitches from three local non-profits. At the end of the pitches, the men will vote by silent ballot for whichever non-profit they felt gave the best presentation. Whichever non-profit receives the most votes will walk away with $10,000 for its organization. Checks will be made out by each individual on-site and will be given directly to the charity. Each $100 donation is tax deductible.

Networking: The Council is envisioned to be a wonderful opportunity from men across various professional sectors to network and mingle. The goal is to provide long-term value to deserving causes - but also to have fun and create a socially and professionally viable atmosphere as well.
