Yuba County Fire Grows To 400 Acres
SMARTSVILLE, Calif. (CBS13) -- A remote brush fire has grown to more than 400 acres and officials say they hope to contain the blaze by Monday morning.
CAL FIRE said the Yuba County fire, now called the Krista Fire, was sparked by downed power lines Saturday afternoon and quickly spread north of Highway 20.
Few structures are in the region but firefighting efforts have been hampered by a lack of access.
Crews have contained 60 percent of the fire and more than 100 firefighters are working to corral the rest of the fire perimeter.
