31 Kings Tickets, Cash Stolen In Woodland Church Burglary
WOODLAND (CBS13) - An Episcopal church in Woodland was ransacked early Friday morning and 31 Sacramento Kings tickets earmarked for local children were stolen.
Officers responded to St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 515 Second Street at about 5:30 a.m. for a reported burglary after the church secretary arrived and found the office had been broken into.
The office was entered by breaking a window. The suspect used a fireplace tool to force open desk drawers and cabinets looking for items of value, police said. In addition to the Kings tickets, about $50 in cash was stolen, church secretary Theresa Trent Lee said. It's the second time in the past six months that the church has been broken into.
The office sustained major vandalism in the process of ransacking the church, police said.
