Police: Fire At Woodland Auto Shop Was Intentionally Set, Search Now On For Suspect

WOODLAND (CBS13) — Authorities believe a fire that damaged four cars at a Woodland auto repair shop early Friday morning was intentionally set.

Woodland police say officers responded to Precision Auto Care along W. Main Street just after 4 a.m. and found that several cars were on fire.

EARLY MORNING ARSON - PLEASE SHARE This morning, shortly after 4 am, officers responded to Precision Auto Care (274 W. Main St) regarding a fire at that location. Officers arrived and found several vehicles on fire. Video surveillance was obtained showing a subject fleeing the area on foot shortly after the fire started. A vehicle in the lot was determined to be the original source of the fire and it appeared to have been set intentionally. Three vehicles appeared to suffer total losses and one additional vehicle was damaged. In total, officers say three vehicles were total losses. A fourth vehicle was also damaged.

Video surveillance cameras caught a suspect running from the area just after the fire started in one of the vehicles, police say.
