Women Wanted For Using Dead Central California Man's Credit Cards

GILROY, Calif. (AP) -- Two Central California women caught on convenience store surveillance video using a dead man's credit cards are wanted for questioning in his homicide.

KNTV reports Thursday that the women are considered "persons of interest" in the suspicious death of 56-year-old Robert Joseph Heiser. Police are investigating the death early Monday in the Central California city of Gilroy as a homicide. Heiser was found in his home after neighbors called police about barking dogs.

Gilroy police Sgt. Pedro Espinoza says police found the man unconscious in his home. Emergency crews attempted to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the women who had Heiser's credit cards were last seen at a convenience store in East San Jose. Their names were not released.
