Woman Killed In Antioch Hit And Run Crash

ANTIOCH (CBS13) - Antioch police are searching for a driver who hit a woman and dragged her to her death after a fight in a parking lot.

The hit and run incident happened early this morning outside a produce store in the 1700 block of Cavallo Road in Antioch.

Shortly after getting into an argument with a person outside the store, the victim hit by a pick-up truck who dragged her down the road.

The woman was found in the roadway at about 1:50 a.m.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.

Police say the suspect vehicle is described as a late model silver four-door Nissan Frontier pickup truck with a luggage rack atop the cab.

The vehicle was last seen speeding from the scene northbound on Cavallo Road.

It's unclear if the suspect in the case is the same person she was arguing with in the parking lot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Antioch police Detective Mike Mellone at (925) 779-6930.
