Woman Dies In South Sacramento House Fire
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A woman has died after a fire in a South Sacramento home.
The fire began around 9:00 a.m. at a home in the 4300 block of Turnbridge Drive.
Fire fighters arrived and were able to knock the flames down in about seven minutes.
"It was unfortunate in this incident the person we found was in the same room that the fire was in," Sacramento Fire Department Assistant Chief Niko King said.
King said the elderly woman was found in bed in a back bedroom.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The name of the victim has not been released.
