Witness Follows, Leads Stockton Police To Bank Robbery Suspect
STOCKTON (CBS13) - A bank robber was arrested thanks to a witness who led Stockton police to the suspect Wednesday afternoon.
At around 4:45 p.m., 25-year-old Marcus Norman allegedly entered the Bank of The West, in the 500 block of N. El Dorado Street, claimed he had a weapon and demanded money from a teller.
The suspect then fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police say a citizen leaving a nearby library witnessed Norman fleeing out the front doors of the bank and followed him. The suspect was then seen changing clothes and fleeing into a business on Hunter and Fremont Streets.
Officers later found Norman hiding inside the business, and arrested him.
