Winds To Pick Up As Temperatures Drop
It's a mild start to the weekend, but windy conditions and cooler temperatures are headed into the region.
A weak system north of Sacramento will increase the winds dramatically come Sunday. Afternoon wind gusts could top 45 mph, especially on the west side of the valley.
Valley temperatures will fall from the mid 70s to the upper 60s as cooler air moves into the region. This system will also bring a slight chance for rain late Saturday and heading into Sunday for the northern Sierra. However, minimal rain and snowfall is expected.
The wind will remain strong Monday, but ease on Tuesday as temperatures increase slightly.
The next chance for valley rain could come at the end of the workweek as a storm system forms off the coast.
