Wind Advisory In Effect For Sacramento Valley
A wind advisory is in effect for the Sacramento Valley until Noon on Wednesday. NNW winds are blowing 15-30 mph, gusting to 40 mph.
There will be a red flag for the east bay from 6 p.m. Wednesday night until Thursday night. High winds plus low relative humidity are making for an increased fire threat.
On Wednesday, high winds will spread to the Sierra and foothills. The down-sloping winds will be warming and drying the environment across our area, which can also lead to increased fire concerns.
Cooler air will be moving in from the north that will drops high temps into the mid 80s today. The cool down is brief though as temperatures head back into the low 90s on Wednesday and Thursday, nearing mid 90s for the weekend.
