Wildfire Smoke Hampers Central Valley Air Quality
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Smoke from two wildfires is hampering air quality throughout the central valley.
From Modesto to Stockton and even into the Sacramento Valley, the skyline shows the same thing—smoke.
The Soberanes and Goose fires have been filling the skies with smoke, wreaking havoc on the eyes and lungs of residents.
The fire in Monterey County has been sending smoke via a southwesterly wind into the valley and the foothills.
People who are particularly sensitive to particle pollution—including those with asthma, lung disease, the elderly and children—should minimize time outdoors in these conditions.
