West Sacramento police investigating homicide near West Capitol Avenue
WEST SACRAMENTO – A homicide investigation is underway in West Sacramento on Friday morning.
The scene was near West Capitol Avenue and Westacre Road.
West Sacramento police confirmed that detectives were at the scene investigating a homicide, saying it appears that a stabbing stemmed from an altercation between two men.
Police believe this was not a random event and say there is no ongoing danger to the public.
Due to the investigation, eastbound lanes of West Capitol Avenue were closed between Poplar Avenue and Westacre Road.
