West Sacramento Bank Robbed, Suspect Caught In Sacramento County
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police were able to arrest a man less than an hour after he allegedly robbed a West Sacramento bank.
The incident happened early Monday afternoon.
West Sacramento police say a man walked into the US Bank on Merkley Avenue around 12:15 p.m. and handed a teller a note. The note reportedly demanded money.
The bank gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and he took off.
With the help of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, the man was tracked down near Highway 50 and Bradshaw Road. The man was in custody by 12:45 p.m.
Police are looking into whether the suspect is tied to another robbery that happened in the county recently.
The man's identity has not been released yet.
