Warm Weekend Weather Continues Into Workweek
Northern California received a taste of summer Sunday, which will continue until midweek.
Most of the area was at least 10 degrees warmer than normal this time of year.
Sacramento hit a high of 88 degrees, but it was still a far cry from the record of 93 degrees.
The start of the work week will mean warm temperatures again, but with the return of some breezy conditions. Winds in the valley will range around 15 to 20 miles per hour for both Monday and Tuesday.
By the middle of the week, temperatures are expected to begin dropping and the winds calming. Highs in Sacramento will fall from the mid-80s to the upper 70s by the end of the week.
A large area of high pressure -- usually meaning clear skies and warm temperatures -- will dominate the weather for most of the week.
Don't look for any rain or snow in the forecast as high pressure will keep the storm track far to the north.
