Placer Sheriff's Office Warns Of Raging River
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — The Placer County Sheriff's Office has a warning regarding the American River.
Because of the recent storms dumping record snow in the Sierra, the water is moving at ten times its normal speed right now.
They say trees and sandbars that are usually visible are under water.
The water is reportedly 40 degrees and is expected to stay near freezing until mid-summer.
