Warriors' Curry To Seek Doctor's Opinion On Ankle
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is traveling back to the East Coast for further examination on his surgically repaired, sprained right ankle.
Curry was evaluated by team doctors Saturday night before Golden State hosted the Utah Jazz. He will be examined in Charlotte on Monday night by Dr. Bob Anderson, who performed surgery on Curry's ankle May 25.
The Warriors have two more home games before playing at Charlotte on Jan. 14, so it's likely Curry will not rejoin the team until then.
Curry sprained his right ankle for the third time this season on Wednesday night in San Antonio. The injury has been a recurring problem since he was drafted seventh overall in 2009 out of Davidson.
Curry is averaging 15.2 points and 5.6 assists.
