Wade, Durant Trade Barbs On Twitter Over Rankings
MIAMI (AP) Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant are getting a little 1-on-1 in before the season starts.
Well, on Twitter, anyway.
Durant told CineSport in a video interview that he believes his former Oklahoma City teammate James Harden should be considered one of the top 10 players in the NBA, and Wade - a three-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat - should not.
So Wade responded by posting a message on a social media site Tuesday night that was clearly directed at Durant, saying in part: "Note to self. Make him respect your place in history ... again."
Durant's tweet in response: "Show me don't tweet me."
Wade averaged 22.6 points in the 2012 NBA Finals against Durant, Harden and the Thunder. Harden, who now plays for Houston, averaged 12.4 points in that series.
