Virgin America Flight From SFO Forced To Make Emergency Landing
GRAND JUNCTION (CBS13) - A passenger plane heading from San Francisco to New York made an emergency landing in Grand Junction Thursday morning after an engine failed.
The Virgin America flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Grand Junction Regional Airport, according to airport officials in Grand Junction.
The plane landed safely around 1:30 Thursday morning. The flight left San Francisco Airport at about 11:00 Wednesday night.
The Airbus 319 had 117 people on board including crew members, no injuries have been reported.
Officials say all passengers were taken to Grand Junction hotels to stay until a new plane arrives.
